The Old Corkscrew, a leading antiques dealer in South Africa, has commissioned 2Swans Ltd to develop online presence. |
| |
The Old Corkscrew is based in the heart of the South African wine-lands and it specialises in antique corkscrews, silver, glass and copper. It’s shop contains over 2,000 antiques for sale including a vast selection of antique corkscrews.
2Swans Ltd will convert their current paper based catalogues into an online store that will allow customers too rapidly to browse or search for specific antiques and then enquire about the total costs including shipping and tax.
“The objective of the web-site is to showcase the current stock whilst at the same time allowing our customers the ability quickly locate other pieces that are of interest to them” says Jeremy Astfalck, owner of The Old Corkscrew.
Astfalck continues, “One of the issues we face is the quality of images needed to be displayed and the speed of downloading those images. We believe that the solution that 2Swans has proposed will deal with this issue.”
The web-site will be delivered over a 5 week period and will be developed using open-source technologies to ensure costs are kept to a minimum. The site will contain the following features: content management system, product directory, events directory, press releases and article management.
The web-site can be found at: www.theoldcorkscrew.com
